MSI Mega180 SFF PC Review

T-Break reviews the very cool MSI Mega 180 PC, perfect for the home theater PC enthusiast.

“Just like the previous model, the Optical drive sits on top and is hidden through a retractable cover making the overall look of the Mega180 more like an entertainment unit than a PC. The LCD has also gone through major changes. Instead of an orange background with a black display, MSI goes for a black background and a multi-color display which matches the unit’s look real well. The navigation buttons on the Mega180 are placed below the LCD which is also better then placing them next to the navigation Shuttle like the previous model.

Below the LCD you have the memory card reader which could be replaced by a floppy drive in the previous MegaPC, however, we could not figure out an easy way to make this change in the Mega180. Finally, at the bottom, MSI places the front connections hidden inside a panel- again like the previous model. However, MSI places a button to flip open the bottom panel which is a better idea than just pushing the panel. The connections present here are SPDIF In, Audio and Mic, 2 x USB and 2 x Firewire.”
