NEC Launches Snappy Displays for Gamers

Despite their relatively large sizes (up to 24 inches), all three monitors in the new CX and GX lines sport response times of 5ms.

Gamers looking for fast response times in a widescreen LCD monitor will want to focus their eyes on NEC’s new AccuSync GX and CX series displays. The company’s latest offerings boast response times of 5ms, contrast ratios reaching 2,000:1 and sizes up to 24 inches.

The largest monitor in the lineup, the behemoth AccuSync LCD24WMCX, has a native resolution of 1920 x 1200, while the smaller LCD22WMGX runs at 1680 x 1050 and the LCD19CMGX runs at 1440 x 900. The smallest monitor pushes an adequate contrast ratio of 1,000:1 while both larger models get a more impressive 2,000:1 ratio. The larger models also come with component inputs to display video from DVD players and game consoles, and a special DV mode with six presets for viewing preferences.

All three monitors come with HDMI and HDCP connectivity, glossy black bezels, tilt and cable management, and three-year warranties.

The AccuSync LCD19WMGX and LCD22WMGX are on sale immediately for $279.99 and $379.99, respectively, while the top-of-line LCD24WMCX will come out later in September for $549.99.
