New from Chrome: Laptop Sleeves

Maker of professional messenger bags begins selling laptop sleeves made from material they say makes the protective bags rugged.

Chrome, a San Francisco based maker of professional messenger bags, earlier this week announced they were taking their extensive experience designing rugged bags and putting it towards a new line of laptop sleeves targeted towards Mac and PC laptop owners. The new Chrome laptop sleeves are priced at $34 for a sleeve and $14 for a shoulder strap.

The Chrome laptop sleeves, said their maker, come in a variety of sizes (12”, 15”, 17”) and are designed to fit all Macintosh laptops including the PowerBook G4, iBook G4 and the MacBook Pro as well as most PC laptops. The sleeve has a fully padded body with a Velcro top-loaded enclosure, with other features including a metal Chrome logo and a slit pocket for storing papers, cables or a Wi-Fi card.

The sleeves’ material consists of a 1000 Denier Cordura shell and a soft neoprene liner.
