Philips and the Dixons Group have created the Philips-Freeline PC range to provide an easy-to-use digital home entertainment platform.
With built-in wireless technology, all the PCs are pre-configured to work seamlessly with Philips’ Streamium family of wireless and broadband-enabled entertainment devices, enabling the enjoyment of music, video content, photos, games and Internet access anytime and anywhere in the home.
“The Philips-Freeline range adds an important element to our vision of the Connected Planet,†says Toon Bouten, Executive Vice-President & General Manager, Philips Consumer Electronics, Region Europe. “Via our Streamium family of A/V devices, wireless networking accessories and now home entertainment PCs, we are able to offer consumers a range of easy-to-install and easy-to-set-up solutions that enable them to enjoy and experience digital content anytime in and around the home.â€
Simon Turner, Group Managing Director, Computing and Communications Division, Dixons Group plc, adds: “Our Group has always been at the forefront of providing consumers with the latest and best technology from the world’s most popular and trusted brand names. The Philips-Freeline PC range extends that history, bringing us together with Philips to offer our customers PCs which provide an integrated digital entertainment environment with which to make the most of their digital content.â€
The first Philips-Freeline PCs, including four desktops and two laptop models, will be available in November from Dixons Group plc-owned retail chains including PC World in the UK and Ireland, Elkjøp in the Nordic region, PC City in Spain and Sweden, and PC City and UniEuro in Italy.
The Philips-Freeline family offers top-of-the-range PC functionality for the home: this includes high-quality Philips components such as LCD monitors, DVD+RW drives and multimedia audio speakers, plus Intel Pentium 4 processors, WiFi (802.11g) wireless connectivity and the Microsoft Windows XP operating platform throughout the range.

Gruntled but content ls1000 user !
What did Tech Guys want to charge for a disc?
Ive had a handful of philips computers that wouldnt accept the Media center Xp serial given with them on this Oem (system builders)version, but its very rare.
Any that didnt activated by phone fine.
Drivers arnt included.
What happened to the link; can I still download that file anywhere?
Thanks
change both sticks.
Check your ATX cable and other power cables inside first,
if problem persists try replacing RAM,
one of these should be the problem.
Hope this helps...
Has the curse of the Crappy PC World hit me!!! I do hope they go bust soon :-)
Can anybody help.....please

got an ATI HD 3650 on a powercolor board - the fan on it is proper sh!t so ordered a Scythe Musashi to beef that up.
whole freelines being sold 2mora at last!!!
I notice the new Freeline isnt low profile.....
The Tv Tuners from the Freevents are very simliar to this..

Regards.
There are 2 extra PCI express slots on the Asus P5E-VM HDMI motherboard.
Eg.. http://www.mrgadget.com.au/catalog/images/compro_e...
I think the only card worth salvaging on the freevents machines is the tv tuner. I have 5 or 6 of them here.......
Somewhere.....
would be a shame to waste the cards that come with the freeline tho (the board has only 1 pci slot, freeline LS's have 3 pci cards!)
ive found easy way of dealing with
1 underpower
2 overheat
is if possible just change processor to a single core (dual cores usually inside freelines give more heat, especially noticable in a little case like this, and also use less power)
what did you do with your old cards, are they up for sale?
New power supply link

or download EVEREST - program that tells you exact make and model number of all hardware inside your pc and even tells you where to download drivers from.
let me know if this helps
Steve: Apparently holding down f10 (I think - may have to try all of the F keys!) BEFORE booting up allows you to boot from the recovery section locked in the hard drive, dont worry if youve formatted your hard drive, it will still be there (if it was at all) as you can only delete this recovery section with XP/Vista CD (Recovery section shows up labelled as EISA utilities partition on xp installation screen) - the LS1xxxs ive worked with have all had hard drives removed (except for my personal one and i deleted the partition to fix hal.dll issues before i found out about the recovery section), so i havent been able to test this. Any1 Pls pls let me know if this works at folkestoner@Safe-mail.net
i have had huge problems for months with the ones ive worked with, they only run like a dream now because of the amount of time and effort i put into doing fixing them
these pcs are no good until the end user sorts them out
(happy now vodka_rage666? lol)

I own one aswell, I took the motherboard out and put it into a bigger case which can deal with the heat a bit better and allow me to upgrade with full size cards.
Not wanting to waste the nice looking case and the tv card, etc, i put in a weaker motherboard and processor (a single core Pentium 4; the heat difference between single core and dual core processors is noticable with a compact machine like this) and they both run like a dream...
Bearing in mind another problem with these PCs is UNDERPOWERING, the motherboard and dual core processor require a lot of power on their own, then there's the 128mb grphics card, tv tuner, wireless network card, etc, a 350 watt PSU should be used, not a 240 as mine has.
after spending a couple of days changing hardware and bios settings, everything's perfect.
Anyone who wants drivers for ls1000 or ls1100 e-mail me folkestoner@Safe-mail.net, also bios settings may help if you have troubles, feel free to ask
On a positive note from my previous post I installed an MSI NX8400GS graphics card and another meg of memory. Like having a different machine quiet, coolish!!!! although I have left the side panel off. The PC alert utility supplied with the card gives interesting readouts with no PCU fan possibly the reason for so many problems.
Thanks James

does anyone have the recovery disks for the LS2000???
Please email me at a.hardisty@hotmail.co.uk if so.. thank you :)
Hardware upgrades and add-ons are also made tough due to the narrow chassis.
And to top it off now my ls1500 wont even boot up. its definatley a hardware issue - the lcd digital panel lights up and the fan rev's continually louder than it has before. i think it could be the power supply unit, the power button is also failing to turn the computer off but will turn it on.
has any one else expirienced issues like this - or may have possible solutions to repair pc?
thaks Chris

Thank You!
Thanks for your response. I haven't bought a card yet but it all sounds a little beyond my capability. I'd hate to buy a card and then find it doesn't fit.
I might have to call on the Maplin man to see if he can tell me if the graphics card they stock has fixed or cabled sockets.
Thanks a lot!
Eve
It should be a PCi slot for your graphics card. Getting a low profile card used to be tricky (beware - you won't get a full size graphics card in the LS1100!), but is getting a bit easier now. There are quite a few cards which can be 'adapted' with a low profile bracket (with some cards, one of the plugs on the back comes on a cable, rather than fixed to the board; so you can adapt them to a slimline PCs. If the card has three fixed output sockets, it won't fit...).
Hope this helps!

I have a LS2200 and for some reason it stuck in the sleep mode. The symbol in the right hand corner. I press the power buton and the fan runs for approx 1 sec before stopping . any ideas how I get out of sleep mode.

Oh well, computers, you can't live with 'em, you can't live without 'em!

I need Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005 any ideas where i can download and also instructions would be helpful. obvious solution is torrent are there any other options.
Does anyone know what type of a graphics card slot is in the Freeline LS 1100? Is it a PCI-express or an AGP? How can you tell the difference? LOL at my non-PC knowledge (but I'm learning).
Thanks very much
Oof if only I'd read this forum before I bought this PC!
I bought an LS1100 a while back and it was fine until about 12 months ago when it needed a new hard drive. Anyway everything was fine and then I had monitor resolution problems (despite re-installing graphics card drivers).I needed to buy a laptop for work purposes anyway and my Freeline has been gathering dust.
I recently wanted to get it going again as two computers in our househould are required!
PC World weren't much help and said their parts department didn't stock a graphics card as a replacement (presumably because they're not investing any further parts stock on there models judging by other experiences).
I contacted Maplin to find out which graphics card they stocked would be compatible and they have said I need to determine whether it's a PCI-express or AGP slot.
Now I have opened my 1100 up before so I'm not bothered by doing that but I just thought I'd save myself the hassle! Does anyone know how to identify the difference between the slots or indeed, which type of slot it is?
Thanks very much for your help.
Is there anyone who has a recovery cd for Philips Freeline MT2100? I didn't make it and it died but I've managed to install another windows. It starts ok with two operating systems. I was told that with the recovery cd it will rewrite everything and starts afresh. I have tried to download it from pcworld website but the engineer said I would need the cd.
Thanks.
I had a Freeline 1200 which from day 1 sounded like a Boeing 747, it was fast and looked great with excellent specs so i lived with it. After, approx. 3 years the power supply has blown up (I must commend it for lasting that long!) PC have condemned my PC as due to changes they can no longer purchase and fit the power supply to the PC. Be warned.
I have just got my first Phillips computer an LS1000 with out any recovery info. What I would like to do is set it back to factory settings just wipe it clean and start over again ‘ can anyone point me in the right direction to getting this done
Very much appreciated
Steve
Anyway, the other day i decided to wipe it and put it to some use. (Finding all the correct drivers on the net was a complete b****rd... And i never made backup cds - oops!) After a day of sweating and swearing, it has now started a new life as a music server in the front room. All is good so far, everyone is loving playing their mp3s through the hi-fi!
try this on ebay:

when you open the side pannel, you should see a metal button on the top right corner. If you press it and pull the front cover, it should come out.You do not need to remove the front cover to take the cd drive though. If you unplug all the cd drive wires as well as remove the memory, you should have enough space to pull the cd handle, slide it backward and remove the drive.
I hope this helps
Go to put the driver CD in and the drive wont open, it spins up but wont open ... even tried the manual eject and pushed the CD draw closed spins, but it wont access ...
So OK lets replace the CD Drive ... to get the CD out you have to remove the front pannel, the manual (supplied on the hard disk) says push the release catch (top right corner of case when open) this releases the top latches you then pull from the top to remove front .... but further down the front on either side (just about where the philips logo is on the front) there are 2 further presure catches the one on the side with the digital display just wont release .. anyone any tips in getting the front off?? ... ive tried forcing to the point where it feels it may break... or perhaps can the oposite side plastic cover be released?
Ive never seen such a badly designed case!
Thanks
Chris
After much googling, I managed to find a solution to pfilips freeline noisy fan. I have LS1000 with a processor 3.5 HT. Apparently these processors have an average temperature of 60 degrees C and when using a few applications in parallel, it can go up to 75 degrees. In the bios, the Smart fan target temp is set to 65 by default. If you increase it to 75 or 80, you can enjoy a quiet cpu.By doing this, its only when temperatures getting over 75 that the fan will go at full speed.
Happy surfing

Can anyone tell me where I can get replacements from please?
And also I need to back up my data but my computer has never let me, can anyone tell me the best way to do this? I'm not very good with computers :)
I have had it for 3 years and this is the first serious problem i have had with it.
please help!!!!!
Thank you
i have just replaced my ATI graphics card in the LS14400,i used the Nvidia 8400GS for about £30,you will need to adjust the rear bracket on the card
hope this helps anyone
Try a Dell X1300 low profile. You'll need an adaptor to plug it into the monitor; but this isn't a problem. Look at the Dell website for details. It is only a 128Mb card (so a straight replacement? I have an LS1000 which had a 128Meg card; the 1100 may have been 256mb). Although the machine still runs very hot - I have the side off permanently - and this card has a heat sink rather than a fan, it has worked okay for three months (I've now tempted providence - aaargh!) and copes with some reasonably high end graphics. You can always get an additional fan if you want to try to help the heatsink out...
With so mnay more low profile pcs being madse now, perhaps our choice will increase in coming months; but I think I'll still go for a bigger box next time... one that I can get inside to upgrade!!
any sugestions on this one. i have a freeline Ls1100 pc. the graphics card does not work and im trying to trace a new one, its a small form factor card. there does not seem to be much detail on the card to identify the card apart from msi.
thanks
can anyone help. i'm trying to find a new graphics csrd for the ls 1100 but having no luck due to it being a low level form factor.

I've got a LS1400 with a dead hard drive. I've managed to recover all the data off the restore partition and put it on to a new hard drive. My problem is that I was daft enough not to make a set of recovery CDs and have no idea what to do next. Any pointers would be most welcome.
Thanks

I have the same problem with the ls1200, switch on the machine, it powers on for a second then goes off, then it attempts to switch itself on and does the same.
I've tried taking the graphics card out and trying to start it, does the same.

Just found it today - YES IT WORKS!!
Just go to Trading Standards - you are all protected under the Sale Of Goods Avt 1979 - even if you are past the warranty date - take it up with Customer Services at PCWorld and demand your money back, a replacement or for them to fix it satisfactorily. Stop bowing and co-towing to PCWorld and the like - the last thing any company wants is negative feedback - SO GIVE EM SOME...My LS was 2 years old and I took them to court...9 times out of ten they will be obliged to help...fight for your rights guys - we still have some in this country.
I got this Philips Freeline LS 1200 some time ago i lost my usb reciever for my wireless keyboard and mouse.

this machine caused me soooooooooooooooooooo many problems its unbelievable. i paid 1300 pounds for my freeline. in june / july it stopped working. after months of bickering at tech guys (pc worlds engineers) i said im super pissed i want a replacement unit. thats when they said ok its been over 6 weeks (in reality months over) so they will write the machine off and give me reimbursment vouchers because some parts are no longer made 4 the machine SOMETHING THEY FAILED TO TELL ME ABOUT EVER SINCE THE MACHINE BROKE DOWN.
SO... on my birthday just a mere few days ago i recieved my vouchers. a ****ty 380 pounds worth.
im so angry but ive been told i cant do anything about this. i even emailed watchdog but no reply.

Also experiencing the DVD drive sticking, so have to flick the tray each time a number of time before it opens.
What an utter rubbish PC. Cost me £1k new in PC World a couple of years ago. Already on my 3rd Graphics card :s

My mother bought me a Philips Freeline LS2200 several years ago from PC World on hire purchase, because the computer I had was way behind the times (although I'm currently using it to write this review. Although it's an eMachines computer, it has to be the best computer I've ever had). At the beginning of its life, it seemed like a great computer. Then the problems began.
I was playing Final Fantasy 8 upstairs when my panicked mother shouted me down claiming that the computer had "exploded". Thankfully, it had not, but smoke was pouring out of it and it had to be quickly separated from the mains, isolated and then seen to by the PC World tech support. I'm not sure what was replaced, but I believe it was the power supply. After this, the front LED panel stopped working correctly and hasn't been working since, displaying odd times, claiming the computer is in shutdown when it isn't, etc.
Some time later I was playing an online game when the graphics card failed. I can't remember fully, but it took about three weeks to get a replacement, and the replacement turned out to be a different model! Thankfully it happened to be a better model than before, although this also happened when I tried to get a monitor replacement (that my mother claims took 14 weeks to secure, although quite a bit of this was her putting it off so she didn't have to put up with the terrible customer service at PC World)
I was moved to look on the Internet for other bad reviews when both the Freeline's keyboard PS/2 port and the keyboard connected to it apparently bit the dust today. I'd been using the Freeline to control the eMachines computer through a form of remote desktop, and had left the Freeline on for about two nights.
When I took the case off the Freeline after taking it down in preparation for yet another trip to PC World, I touched the CD and hard drives. They were insanely hot. Being slightly superstitious (believing that the house is possessed and all) I wondered to myself whether the keyboard failure had been orchestrated by some unknown force to prevent the computer from overheating from another night of usage and causing possibly fatal consequences. You never know with these things.
It's true what the others say - the computer sounds like a jet engine when starting up, it runs extremely hot, the components are extremely cramped and the design is generally poor. And since it's a slimline PC, normal expansion cards won't fit in it!
Mine also runs very unresponsively, although this might be due to the amount of stuff I put on it. I removed the antivirus on it, which was Norton 2006 (the computer was bundled with Norton 2005) because I thought it was the antivirus that was causing the slowdown. Although it might have contributed, this proved to be more trouble than it was worth as it now no longer has any virus protection.
Avoid this like the plague. You have been warned - this computer is so flawed that even 15-year-olds feel moved to complain about it.
My PC is 16 months old & cost me £1200 which I might add I am still paying for in addition to my monthly PC Service Centre contract.
Has anyone here at all managed to get some financial compensation from either Philips or PC World even once their model is out of warranty? It is fairly obvious that this line of PCs has a serious design flaw & yet PC World continued to sell them, they must have known about the faults??
I at the moment have a pc which doesn't work - awaiting new graphics card (4th) & new fan & can gaurantee that within a few weeks of installing the graphics card it will have blown again. I cannot afford to buy a new pc at the moment so am completely stuck, I have vowed I will never buy from Pc World again & most certianly would not buy a Philips model.
I really want to try & get at least a partial refund back so any suggestions or successfull methods used would be much appreciated.
Thanks - mookeymat@yahoo.co.uk
Pressing F10 while the machine is booting is supposed to activate the system restore, which wipes the hard drive clean & restores to factory install. Didn't work for me, but worth a try.
PCWorlds support site is support.thetechguys.com, but it's a joke. Drivers appear to be either wrong or missing entirely. The w/lan card drivers are here but that's it.
The m/board in this appears to be an MSI model. Search around on their site ( www.msi.com.tw) and there's a "Live update". If you can get the thing on the net somehow, this will point you to downloads for m/board and video drivers.
After this, the main thing left is the internal tv-card, which is proving difficult to identify. Aside from downloading every tv-tuner driver from pcworld and trying them all, I'm not sure
I agree with all the posts about the noise, cruddy low-profile design (why oh why didn’t I check the web posts before jumping in…buyer beware!) and general overheating. I used to get freezes and CTDs for a pastime until I downloaded ATI’s Catalyst Control Centre, and this did at least give me a more stable (if just as noisy) machine for about 8 months. Also added a couple of 256Mb RAM sticks (very fiddly as, with the DVD back in place, there is virtually no room for power cables etc), providing 1Gb overall. Otherwise, I had the vanilla LS1000.
The real problems started in July this year, when my HD appeared to be failing, with error messages about bad partitions, corrupted files (?) and total freezes. I reloaded the factory settings, but the system finally died altogether. I’m looking for some self-diagnostics before I waste money on trying to have this sack of sh*t repaired. I have an LED display on the front (shows the ZZZ sign and a 12.00 time); the CPU fan powers up as normal, but then stays on in that jet-aircraft-about-to-take-off way we LS1000 owners know and ‘love’. No video output, no BIOS screen; nothing. I do hear what appears to be the HD spinning; but can’t be sure. I do not get the red HD activity light on the front panel.
Now, my question is: have I an HD failure on my hands, or is it something more sinister (like motherboard or processor)? I should point out that we tested another (serviceable) HD in the machine, but still couldn't receive an output. Clearly I’m getting power and although the X300 graphics are comparatively weedy, they have managed up to now (the graphix card fan also seems to be operating okay). Would an improved power source help (as one contributor seems to suggest)? If I have to get a new motherboard, can anyone offer suggestions? I’m not rolling in cash, so I want to try to get it fixed as cost-effectively as possible; but having spent nearly a grand on this when I bought it, I’m not quite ready to throw in the towel. Help and advice would be greatly appreciated from fellow sufferers…
Does anyone know where I can download them, please ?
OR . . Is there someone out there who can tell me the spec for these parts so I can search for their drivers inividually ??
Thanks
The power source burnt out, installed a new one,not the same spec, I now a very quiet machine.
maybe we were all looking at the wrong fan.
Being a streamline case the standard X700 won't fit due to having a DVI and VGA ports. Plus I believe the X700 has now been discontinued. Can anyone suggest a replacement card for this machine? So far i have not yielded any results!
Thanks Alistair
i have philips freeline x20L i have installed a fresh windows xp home on it after dat everything iz working nice and properly apart from audio driver so if anybody have the audio driver so plz help me out send that driver at thid id haroonkiawaz007@hotmail.com
It's a great looking machine, but in my opinion is badly designed. Everything inside is too close together, and there's only one case fan that pumps the heat out of the bottom of the case. But it's so close to the work surface that most of that heat must just bounce back inside! To add to that, this system has a full blown P4 processor which were renowned for their heat production.
My friend's problem was simply that the graphics card fan had blown, making the system even hotter and more unstable than usual. Finding a replacement isn't that easy though (especially if price is a concern) I was very lucky in that I managed to find a ATI Sapphire 256MB X1550 Low Profile at www.cclonline.com for £19.99 the important bit is to make sure it's "Low Profile" so that it will fit in the case. Another tip is that if you are not using the TV and modem cards in the machine, take them out! This will increase the airflow in the machine and therefore improve the systems cooling.
If you are having problems with the power supply as well I simply suggest getting a new machine. It's just not worth it.
You might have noticed that the LS2400 is back on sale but not in its original slim line case, it is now sold in a standard size tower. I wonder why?!

I was having problems and, since I don't have an XP mce disc or recovery disc, I tried to use an XP Pro disc to do a repair of windows. This should have been fine but it went into a complete installation and asked me for an XP Pro product key (which I don't have). Now I can't do anything. Evertine I swith my PC on I get taken back to the XP Pro installation.
What should I do? Will a recovery disc from Phillips work or is it too late since I have probably deleted the original OS? Phillips should provide an XP or recovery disc with their PC's. Please help!!
the good news is that i got two,but only one of them stays home as nne is always in for repair, both have new motherboard changed, both have new disks+graphic card, bought them in 2005,it is a hopeless design fan is noisy, impossible to work inside the case because of the limited space, when servised it will work for 2-4 months if you are lucky.
delivered one of them today for the 4. time got a packard in change as now both are for repair.so far the pb is fantastick, low noise.
think i dont want to give it back i will let them keep the two freelines,if they want this one back they will have to come down here and get it,i will sitt on it.
the ****ty thing about it was that it was new and evrything had to be installed took 3 hours+it got vista, that can be changed.
however it does not have the design of the freeline, but after the troubles with the freelines i swore thet the next computers i would buy should have huge cabinets so i can sitt inside it and work on it
thanks Janet
thanks Janet
I've recently bought the LS1400 and i love it however one thing thats really bugging me is the front screen - how do you change the time as it's wrong and the time shown on the monitor is correct - they don't match up :S
Also is there anyway of turning off the flashing circle thing coz it's annoying when trying to sleep...

Now for the real question - where do I find spares for this thing ? PC World have no interest, Philips have no interest, and the only lead is to the TechGuys site - they claim to carry 'a million spares', but it's impossible to speak to them except at £1.50 a minute. Any advice, or should we bin in and buy a Dell ?
I have a pretty HOT Philips Freeline 1100LS PC and I want put a HHD cooler fan in the case. Could any one explain how to do that? How would I wire it in and it's preety tight for space in there so where would I put it????
Thanks, PiP.
Ive got a LS1500, worked ok yesterday, now turn it on this morning, get the loud fan noise and the media screen but nothing else, no post bleeps no nothing! argghh its just outside warranty - anyone else had this same problem sounds like the motherboard has gone anyone know of a suitable replacment?
brendan did you manage to get a replacement mother board ?
I now know what a problem it is and would NOT advise others to do the same unless they are expert technicians.
Does anyone have the recovery disks for the MT2800? I am willing to pay but not the silly prices quoted by the TECH GUYS on their website. Although I may have too if no one else can provide them.
mwmcneil16@tiscali.co.uk
Philips freeline X20L, drivers are available from the tech guys. The problem I am having is there is NO sound coming out of the speakers after I have installed the sound drivers
Is anybody running a x20l if so what sound drivers are you using and what is your sound config
Thanks
i have a ls1300 (over 12months) - had few problems same as all u. theese are easy solved by the built in philips recovery software. to use this though u need to remove any other internet security software such as norton. u are then able to use the recovery software from start up by pressing f10, or going to programs and selecting system recovery from windows. there are a few optons where u dont loose all ure information, but i recommend u copy files u want first (if ure able) and then do a complete recovery. u shud end up with a fresh pc. u then need to reload all ure extra software and windows updates (takes time but worth it) hope this helps a few ov u...
Many thanks in advance.
Chris.
and that fan doees my head right in constantly on.
but over 2 years with a lot of use it aint done to bad i must be one of the lucky ones
dont think i'd buy another philips though as there are alot of bad coments about them
cheers Roy
Wonder if someone could help me? I have a freevents LS2400 and would like to update the graphics card (several newer games I have wont play & I have updated all drivers etc, so think it must be the graphics card). The current graphics card is ATI Radeon X700 PCI express & is low profile, can anyone suggest a suitable upgrade that will fit the case? It would be much appreciated, thank you.
We have owned an LS1100 for 2 years now. Yes it's still working! In year one I replaced the HD, just as I felt it was about to fail.
Before this I had vaccumed the mesh regularly to keep the dross away but finally I solved the overheating problem - Take the side off the machine and throw it away. The risk of overheating damamge is far higher than the risk of dust damage!
In short - without modding the case your LS 1100 PC will crash.
Since then no problems whatsoever - except that I'm now DEAF!
Do not buy one! but if like me, the only reason you came across this site is beacuse you've had problems then just lose the case.
Cheers!
I dont know anything but im gona try!
There are loads coming up on there and it says AKASA CABLE ADAPTER FOR SATA 2 HDD
is that the one im after????
let me know thanx m8!
Geoff
BTW I checked the CPU temp it was 63deg .. which is the limit of a D820. My guess is someone re-worked them just to get them out of the door (as TESTED) .. but because the design is bad they are still touch and go.
Dunno if I should try to complain or just fix the heat problems myself (maybe heasinks, fans, or even a new case?)
BTW mine was £150 ..
i have the same problem, i bought it from ebay and from the same company, it was a refurbished unit.
man the bloody thing keeps restarting. i just got the unit today. i dount they will give me my money back! what did u do after?
i payed £170 for it lol
Brendan
when you say media screen do you mean the Windows XP icon with the scrolling bar below it,if so that is my symptoms as well
turn your machine off and on a few times and i think it will kick in----i can tell when my computer will start if i hear the HDD start to spin-up
I noticed the fan on the graphics card had warped and the motor had gone so i presumed it was that that had overheated and ruined the graphics card, however replaced that and still no display! seeming to think this really is the motherboard,
Tabz mentioned a couple of weeks ago about the display playing up,it seems to me this display is software driven as mine was faulty for a long time but when i did a recovery on the computer a while back ---lo and behold the display returned correctly

I'm just the last one in the list.. as I have an LS1300 and had sìmilar experience to yours... mainly noise.
I bought it in London 1 year and a half ago and now I'm back in Italy.... two days a go the power supply failed... now I'm trying to find out how to replace it as it is not like any "standard" device... Tech Guys helpdesk suggested me to return the PC to UK for repair... AHH!! Easy! Can anyone give me a hints for finding the right components, on the internet or in London(I still have friends there who could manage to get it for me)...
I appreciate your help.. thanks and bye

The engineer called and changed the motherboard, prior to this he tried to run a load of tests and the machine wouldn't run them as on boot up we couldn't get past the error messages and blue dump screen. So he changed the mb and the PC has worked 100% for two weeks, now the same old problem is back! PC World are posting a new hd and ram for me to install myself. Hopefully this will be the cure! Somehow I doubt it though! I'm going to buy the insurance this week so that when the warranty runs out I'm covered!
Chris, have been away on holiday, will look for the recovery disks and email you. Can’t use the machine at the moment so need to fit new hd and reinstall software and recover back up’s before I can do anything else.
i need the drivers can someone help please
before it goes out the window
Internally the case is very small and there appears to be no airflow other than through the side-port. This leaves the Maxtor hard drive (I wouldn't recommend a Maxtor anyway fwiw) roasting at the bottom. Excess heat causes HDDs to, well, burn out.
I was really astonished when I found that such a noisy system has no fan on the graphics card. The card's airflow on one side is also obstructed by a series of other cards, which I presume are compensating for a lack of features on a cheap motherboard. All airflow seems to be provided by the large CPU fan and the PSU.
The degree to which this is a failure is demonstrated on the inside of the pull-away pannel; the metal is covered in large brown scorch marks. Ouch.
The only material failure I had was with the DVD drive, which froze in place shorty after the warranty expired. Removing/replacing the DVD and HD drives is btw almost impossible. As far as I can see it requires near-total disassembly of the machine or you cannot access the screws. Also the wireless networking is totally useless even when directly next to the hub, and the TV tuner never worked correctly.
I finally replaced the machine when the HDD started making the rattling noise that often precedes failure. I'm very happy I did and I strongly recommend avoiding Freelines.
Summary: overpriced, horrendously loud and poor quality.
Firstly take off the side panel and the clip on base, then lie it on it's right side and NEVER EVER EVER plug the power supply lead in. There you go, no noise.
OK it's drastic but the only way to stop the infernal racket it makes
What could be the problem?
Angela
Just to add my 2pennyworth, I bought a recon MT2000 last Dec (05). When it turned up initialy it kept re-booting. This problem resolved itself however the CDR drive wouldn't work. You've guessed it PC world directed me to PC service call. They said download a driver update and so I did. A week later I had a "service call" and a new CDR drive thank you!
One year and just over one month on, I've had no troubles other than to say it's that hot you can cook you breakfast on it! Also the fan does sound like a hairdryer.
Then guess what with no warranty, it's just given up the ghost. It initially wouldn't run in normal or safe mode and just kept re-booting shortly after the XP windows logo comes up.
Out of frustration I decided to try and re-load XP from scratch. However upon partitioning the drive, My PC tells me that a system 32 file is missing. So all I can do now is turn it on via Norton Ghost and look at my files via a viewer! Fan bloody tastic.
Chris I hope you are good for the disks mentioned on you review. I have absolutely no faith that PC service call or PC world will be able to fix this!
cheers

I have a Philips Freeevents LS1600. It worked fine for about a month, although I never got the TV tuner to work, however not interest in that so it hasn't been a problem! Apart from the TV everything was fine for about 2 months (the machine is now 6 months old). Then a fault crept in. Each time I booted up I got a Windows error message saying "The system has recovered from a serious error and has been recovered from the log etc. etc." It would then boot up and although my software was still installed it was if it was new i.e. needed serial numbers putting in etc. The fault was intermittent and went from monthly to weekly and finally to daily. Once the PC was running the system would just freeze for no reason. Sometimes this was seconds after boot up others maybe 10 mins later.
PC Service call told me to check the disk using the window disk check, that was fine. I also downloaded the Maxtor disk check utility and that showed the disk was good. The Tech Guys then said it must be my own software causing a clash so I should Quick Format the drive & restore to factory settings. I explained I thought it was a hardware problem so how would this fix it. However after much arguing I agreed to reformat. Did this, booted up and the system froze before I could "test" the machine let alone add any of my own software to it!! I also noticed that the desktop graphics had gone mad, colours strange, broken into bits and with lines across it (didn't have this problem until the quick format!)
Only way to turn the PC of is to unplug! Booted up again got the same old error message, the blue "dump" screen, the disk check screen and then guess what the big freeze!
The first phone call to them I got a lady tech who must have been a trainee, she literally didn't know what day of the week she was in let alone how to fix a PC! Gave up on her, rang again and got a helpful chap who seemed to know what he was doing. However he said he'd not heard of this problem before!
Still had to go through the disk check, memory check standard routine, the start up in safe mode, check the drivers etc. etc. before he admitted it sounded like the motherboard. PC World are sending out a new motherboard and ram on Tuesday next week. Lets hope this fixes the problem.
The machine looks good but has been very unstable, also gets very hot! Average temp. though is 55C, PC World tell me that heats not the problem as they would only worry if its 65C.
Unlike the other posters, my machine is quiet in operation. It does fill with dust easily but a quick hoover out sorts that out. Last week I washed the heat sync as it was so full of dust! I've removed the foot stand to allow more air to circulate underneath.
I haven't tried the recovery disks yet as I used the F10 button to format my machine, however I do have the full set (burnt them the day I bought the PC). Hopefully they will work, if anyone needs a copy please let me know. PC World say there is an 8 month delay in shipping disks for anyone who didn't burn them when they set up the machine and needs them now!
The PC won't boot up at all now so I'm using my laptop for the timebeing! If the new motherboard fixes the problem I guess I'll have to say I've had good service, however if not then I've bought a load of old junk!
Started off just a few days before the warranty ran out, wouldn't power on. Off it went to good old pc world for 4 weeks! I was told it had a 'make over' new mother board, hard disk drive, power supply, and most of the time was spent waiting for a vga card.
6 Months after all that, the vga card is completely burnt out.
I've given up on PC World, and put a standard size graphics card in, ok I've no got a cover on the side now. But I don't know if its just a coincidence, but the machine is loads quieter now.....
I baught my LS2400, which as it turns out, is rare as rocking horse poo, in November 2005. It initially had teething problems with Media Center and the Hauppage TV card in it which I managed to overcome. Then a few days before the warranty ran out (Luckily), the power supply died. I had that replaced for free thankfully. Then a week ago it simply switched itself off and would not power up again.
My immediate thaught was the power supply so I had one sent over from America. However I also noticed that the ATI graphics card fan had burnt out, although I think this had happened some time ago as it has a huge heatsink too.
So I tried the new supply and it's the same. Looks like a Mobo or processor fault now. Nice going for a £1200 system....NOT!!!
i cannot now get media center to work as a tv wrong codec or summat....
Having read your other reviews I would not have touched the Philips with a barge pole had I known it was made by PC World under licence.

Have the LS 1200.
Recently crashed and i have had a new hard drive fitted but lost all Windows XP.Tried reloading using the back up disc i made.
Someone told me i can buy a disc to reload for about £30.Anyone know where ???
Best wishes.

Half the comments on here I'd expect are from people who run their machine logged in as a machine administrator install all sorts of rubbish and then expect the machine to just work. Don't be so quick to blame the hardware. Take your machine back to it's default factory setup if your having problems and troubleshoot from there. If you don't have a backup of anything you need to keep then you shouldn't have a computer, the freelines all have cd writers so learn how to use it.
:p
Thanks
Charles
The front LCD display of the PC mirrors the time set in MS windows (or at least it should do). To change the time (as with any pc) right-click the time at the bottom right corner of MS windows and 'adjust date/time'.
Software solution can be found at www.almico.com/sfdownload.php
This will shut it up when running none intensive programs, but the real issue is that the pc has a badly designed case and you may need to ensure the bottom vent is not blocked (with the base) by turning it on its side - to make it shut up completely you may need to add some additonal fans.
Happy new year!!
I have a ls1500 i like it,its a good pc,apart from the annoying loud noise that the fan makes and the displaying of the wrong time on the lcd display.
does any know how to set the clock?
is it possible to slow down the fan speed?
Please help!
Chris
It used to work when I first got it but then it suddenly went so I swapped my original Digital TV receiver with an updated one which was a little more expensive..... At the time we were having new aerials installed in each room in our house so I definately know it's not the aerial problem.....
Once again guess what PC World have no idea what the problem is or how to fix it..... They do however have extensive knowledge of how to charge me some prolific rate to repair it + labour charge! What? Labour charge? They should do it for free!!!!!
They haven't got a scooby doo about how to keep a customer happy or speak to them like in a non technical manner without getting red faced, uptight and flustered!
Unbelievable..... Whenever I speak to them for some reason steam just starts coming out of my ears!
Trust me I've had so many serious problems with this bad boy.....
I originally purchased my Philips LS 1100 from PC World and had no problems for around eight months apart form the fan going off for about 45 secs for every minute of the day..... Then the problems started.
The whole thing was making a clicking noise from inside the processor then would crash and then just died on me one day so i took it to PC World and they (supposedly fixed it) however they should have replaced the hard drive because that was the original problem and this died again about two months after the 12 month warranty ran out and i was having the same symptoms again with my PC.
So after forking out another £65.00 for a hard drive over the net i then found out i had no recovery media because the PC automatically stores it on (guess what) the hard drive!!!!!
So i had to fork out another £30.00 on recovery media which arrived at the wrong address from TechGuys (a PC World affiliate) basically they are just a bunch of people who PC World complaints fog angry customers onto.....
Anyway now my recovery media has arrived i have tried installing all four discs and now the CD drive has gone
Trust me PC World have offered no help or sympathy towards me and by the looks of things anyone else in their long long long queues at their customer service/complaints desk in their superstores.... Basically they are about as much use as a wet baguette in a sword fight!!!!!
Their staff are totally unskilled and I admit I haven't got the 1st clue about computers but these guys aren't much better than me and the customer service is diabolical..... I don't know about you but I hate bad customer service..... These guys seem to love giving people like me a proper headache.
I've been offered no explanation as to why this has happened and after reading these complaint pages I asked them Why on earth would they sell a product which has so many complaints about it? (and they must know about this product range being a problem) Why haven't they sorted this issue out with Philips or whoever they buy the LS Series from? And Why do they have to be so rude.....?
I see no way out of this but for me to keep forking out money I really haven't got on these morans only to get more bad news....! GRRRRRR!
Would never, EVER buy one of these crocks again!!
Like other postings, logical thing to do was turn it on its head (or side) or modify the base. I also installed 'Speedfan' software to slow down the fans when not using intensive applications like games. People that have complained about fan noise when just listening to music may find this useful (just let the software do its thing, do not tinker with the advanced settings if you don't know what you are doing). The Speedfan readouts also showed me that the hard drive was running way too hot. Next step - install a HDD cooler. Result - a quitet and stable PC.
While inside the box, I noticed that the X700 card can get pretty toasty packed next to the tuner card and so if (like me) you don't use the tuner - take it out. This allows the graphics card to vent out of the hole where the tuner was and means that you can even overclock the card (Ati Tool) with stable results. An overclocked LS2400 - well I never!!!
I also discarded the keyboard and mouse - cos they were crap and bought Logitec replacements that came with a nifty (2.4GHz wireless) media remote, so I could also ditch the (equally crap) IR media remote.
All in all - I am happy with my PC.
Now I'm off to create a recovery disk, because like everybody it seems, I couldn't be arsed to do this when new.
One more thing - I can't believe that someone has asked how to open the box....er just undo the two thumb screws!!!
Hope the comments help some off you find some 'inner peace' with your PC's.
Bye.

So won't be buying Philips again!
Kept getting driver error message please re-install but no detail as to which driver. Then suddenly last week display unreadable - when machine warmed up. Excellent service from PCW sent me parts (customer fix)- in machine in less than 24 hours from call. BUT when I checked the TechGuys (ServiceCall) site my machine is not listed for drivers etc. Any clues as to where to look for driver updates?
Wondering just how many of these machines are on the brink of a major heat fault? Shouldn't Philips have done something about it?
1. the pc has crashed due to a virus i've got the system disc but cannot remember the keys you press to get the options menu to completly wipe the hard drive so the system can restore i've tried the normaly way but it crashes.
2. When i eventually get the system up and running there is a clicking noise that comes throught the speakers which is being genereated by the pc no idea what is causing it.
3. has any body managed to get the media system to set up properly
Anyway, i've bought another make of keyboard and mouse and so have a spare philips keyboard (works perfectly), mouse and receiver. If you would like to buy off me for £10 just send me an email to info@nmphotography.co.uk
thanks
Thought I might as well add my two pennies worth!!!
Bought a Philips LS1400 from PC World in Feb 2006. When the damn thing is working it's a bloody good machine but so far since I've bought it I've had the DVD drive replaced, the Motherboard replaced (twice)!!!, 4 New Graphics cards and a New Sound card. The Tech people always send out replacement parts fairly promptly but what good is that if it keeps breaking down!!!!
I have now officially complained to PC World and asked for a refund. I'm currently waiting to find out what they say!!!
Regards
Andy Mogford
The cooling fans you have bought, are they to upgrade the existing cooling or an extra fan....??
If it`s extra, which model have you bought and has it worked???

I know it shouldnt have packed up in the first place but its a lot cheaper than buying a new pc
The problem my spanish is not very good.
You see the type of managment they are, because they take no notice of this site.
I say Again, I will I buy nothing from pc world or anything philips again.
I`ve had 3 hard drives and a motherboard replaced, had to numerous recoveries. But luckily all my hassle was within the warranty period. It`s now better, but still so NOISY......in fact so much so it drives me mad, but thanks to Jez Aug 25th it nows is silent again. What I`ve done is replaced the stand with 2 wooden blocks. I`ve also cleaned out the vent covering the fan as it has been overworking it`s covered in dust.
It`s obvious, the fan blows the hot air out thru the vent on the side and the cool air is then drawn in via the vent on the base. But if you use the Philips stand it sits snuggly on it covering the air intake, and then obviously it overheats.
Cheers Jez...........
March 2006 PC services replaced motherboard + graphics card...
August 2006 PC services replaced motherboard + graphics card again........!
6 months old computer, paid £699 in the PC World store Stockport, UK.
What's the point of replacing the hardware by an engineer if it is faulty anyway ??
According to the PC world telephone muppet, I'll need to speak to the manager of the shop where i bought it in order to get my money back or to replace it with another computer....
PC WORLD sucks *ss....... F**king muppets
Alright folks,
Over heating problem is a hard one, but I managed to sort mine. The stand for the computer all but blocks the extracter on the bottom of the unit, turn the unit up side down so it sucks air out of the top and also install a hard drive fan, then re wire the extracter on the base to the main power pack rather then the motherboard. may not look good but drops it by about 10 to 15 degreesn and saves your system and you from alot of hassle.
Jez
I see that the comments are not very good about phillips LS models. On beggining when we've got this computer i wouldn't believe it.We bought LS1400 about 6 months ago for £1120 incl. PC performance and today we having problems with PC. First the CD-rom stop working and after all Windows has failed. When I minimize any open windows it is disappearing somewhere. And I was told that I have to back up all data and phone to Phillips for recovery CD. If someone knows what should I do, I would happy to hear comments.
Thank you
Pc world never ever queries it just sends a courier, taking in how much this must cost.
some body is losing money. lucky I have a 6 year old dell, maybe if in send it next time with the philps they learn a thing or two.
I would never buy another philps product again, the cheap equipment they put into this computer.
BTW it was exclude monitor.
Jhon mullen you just make me happy with your comment mate.

i wanted to buy a MT2500 last week from PCW and i have been told that there isnt any speakers included.
i've got a question for you pal...how Satisfy you are with your MT2500?
i'm kindda Hesitate to buy these pc's, specially from phillips.what you guy's recommend me to buy?
Just bought a MT2500 base untit. Box shows speakers, but I dont have any in the box.
PC World says there arent any!
Anyone care to throw some light - or show me proof either way?
Thanks
Amin
A friend of mine, bought the mt1600 from pcworld a couple of weeks ago. I had to reinstall windows, I managed to reinstall most drivers, though I still have two multimedia controller drivers uninstalled, and I don't know where they are coming from. PC World didn't wanted to change the PC, because it had another windows version on it, as the one they provided.I don't know why they just don't provide the discs with the drivers, as a blank cd costs something like 30p. I am quite annoyed and wouldn't recommend the Philips PC. BTW Philips doesn't make any PC, so you won't find any help there
The aftersales service from PC World has been superb, absolutely first class, and have attended to all my problems without question. However, the PC still does not function correctly.
I'd give the machine a 3/10 for performance and would not look at another Philips Pc for a long time.
Got in touch with Curry's online store who I brought it through, they didn't want to know, got in touch with Philips, they didn't want to know, got in touch with trading standards, they didn't want to know. Wrote to Philips CEO in Holland, got a reply and waiting to see what happens.
This sounds like a rant against the PC, it isn't, I'd love to have it working as it was when I first brought it, I can only use it for the internet, £900.00 down the drain if I can't get Curry's to reimburse me, sorry, make that an extra £500.00 for a replacement computer that works as it's a necessity. Avoid this computer and Curry's at ALL costs
I agree with what has been said above, dont go near them. Philips want nothing to do with them. They on supply the monitor and the rest built specially for Currys, Dixons and PC Ripoff World.
As usual in the Dixons chain of rip of shops, Currys, PC World, they tempt the uneducated in, talk jargon to them that they dont understand, extract a lot of hard earned money from them and dispatch them with a load of junk that breaks down and cannot be fixed.
Dont, dont, dont buy from this lot of crooks. They really need looking at. Go to Dell or other direct seller. Spend £1000 on a computer from them and get £1000 worth of computer. Not a Currys £1000 computer which is old when you buy it, and comes with a ton of junk which no one else wants.
If you think this message is biased, you are not wrong.
Buy your gear from some place else.
Please take these comments seriously - the PCs may look sleek and very fashionable, but they just don't work.
I have just bought the LS1600 and its rather nice, Ive not had anythign blowing up yet :) But... Im having problems with the TV tuner card, as the ports seem to be there, but no mention on my device manager. If anyone has a 1600, can you tell me the model of the Tuner card so i can search for drivers? PC ServiceCall dont specify the 1600 and Philips claim not to make PC's :)
Thanks

Customer service is too bad for Philips pcs..PCservicecall is the worst in the world.

Does anyone know where I can get a recovery CD for the LS1400 as both PCworld and PC service call seem to be playing silly buggers with me... God this is so frustrating.....

Any comment please GREATLY appreciated..

My wife boughty me a freevents x51 laptop for my birthday in March. WOW!! What an amazing bit of kit..The only query I have is the screen appears to be darker when it is not plugged into the mains charger. Is this a common problem? Should this be normal? Can anybody advise? I been into the control panel but nothing seems to be able to change it..
Can ANYONE advice??
Thanks
Robbie
They are beautiful machines to look at but badly flawed and there seems to be a lack of support in getting drivers for the components, which will be essential if you have to re-install. Stay well clear people!!
I have recently been asked by a friend to look at his Freeline x20l laptop (bought from PC World). The machine was out of warranty so I explained that I would rebuild. He did/does not have the recovery disk (I think he forgot to make them). What a nightmare!! The drivers for this machine are impossible to get.
I can see the recovery partition but cannot access it with out a recovery disk. PLEASE can someone help me? Does anyone know where I can get an iso of a recovery disk? Or can someone send one to me. Please help if you can.
I would advise people to be aware of Philips Freeline LS2200. Having only been able to use my PC (bought from PC World) for only 2 months out of nine, I would say that this was a bad buy for me. I waited over 2 months to get a set of recovery CD that I just tried and won't work.
1. As someone commented before, it sounds like a hair dryer.
2. Keeps starting up over and over again.
3. Takes ages to shut down when you do get it to work.
4. Had to get a generic Windows XP disc and in doing so, is not able to get my soundcard and tv tuner to work.
I'm completely fed up now. I think these places where you purchase your PCs from are just waiting for the 1 year guarantee to run out because they realise that they have a problem on their hands and don't want to stand the cost of replacing PC bought.
I would like to get Watchdog to look into this or contact the Trade Standards Board.
Would you guys agree to sign a petition if I supply the link?
We need to start getting some action.
Regards,
Andrew Prince
Just through I'd let people know of an amzing experience - PC World restored my PC, out of warrenty, for free!
After much arguement, and cornerning a store manager until the resolution I wanted was in place, not the standard, "call this other number" resolution, I got put in contact with a repair guy in one of the branches. He spent 4 or so hours working on my machine, and while no new components were required, loose contection due to heat creep, PC World didn't charge me for the time due to the previous hassle. Very helpful, utterly amazing, and so I guess sometimes if you bang your head hard enough, walls do fall down!

Can anyone let me have a copy of the recovery media for an LS2100? I've just lost my HDD, 1 year and 3 days!, PC World, Philips and Microsoft are all being unless - very suprised by Philip's attitude, and so I figure I am on my own. Cannot even get to the Philips "F10" recovery feature. Has anyone tried install just base XP Home on one of these things?
Cheers,
Tim
Many Thanks
Having had the case open, there's room for another HDD believe it or not, tho you cant really add any PCI/PCI-E cards as the case is Low Profile and they are hard to find in that slimline design. Overall, I'm very pleased with it for what it's designed for... an family media centre machine.
As to PC world, I buy a lot of stuff in there and would say that sometimes you get a good, knowledgeable sales person, and other times you get someone who works there because its a job, and has no interest whatsoever... Sad but then again all stores are like that... Oh, and there is also room in the case for a total of 4 RAM sticks, so its not difficult to upgrade from the 1024 MB DDR2...
The specs are great but the heat generated is too great for the case. I checked the BIOS settings and the core temp alarm is set to disabled. My hard drive is also failing. I'm sick of hearing it in the background even when its not in use. Anyone got any ideas?
Going back to my earlier feed back, i guess i was right;

Phillips and PC world have now given up on production as they can't solve the problems caused by these pretty looking machines.
~ITS SUCH A SHAME.

It may not have anything to do with Philips hardware, but a software issue.
LS1400
INTEL PENTIUM 4 640 HT PROCESSOR
After 3 months of very happy use, the pc crashed this weekend, and only boots to the point of offering me safe mode, start using last good configuration, start normally - upon selecting any of these the pc just sticks on that screen.
I saw someone mentioned the option to press F10 and restore factory settings - has anyone tried this?
Does anyone have any other ideas? Is there a boot program online anywhere that I could download and run from a disk??
If your LS1200 is still up and running could you see my note 9th March about the tv tuner driver. Any chance you can help? The only response so far is from someone else who needs the same driver.
Help please. After a major system crash I am still waiting for the Version 4 Recovery discs. In the meantime I have bought and installed a new copy of MS Media Edition XP. However I need more drivers than are on the PCSERVICECALL driver website. In particular I need the TV-Tuner driver as MSI dont support the Philips OEM version. Could anybody email me a copy from the driver folder on a working LS1200? My email is copeland@thekite.fsnet.co.uk.
i bought a philips freeline ls1200 from pcworld, as i am an ameatuer with computers i forgot to make the recovery disks! and a couple of weeks a go my harddrive got corupt. I have replaced the hardrive and now i just need the cd's. I have contacted everyone from pcworld to philips but they keep giving me the same answer "None in stock"
So i was wondering if anyone would be willing to help my out and sell me a set of recovery disks. If you are interested to help, please contact via Nav58@hotmail.com

Your link does not do anything when I click on it. May be an AOL issue as I have had issues with it before from other sites
I also saw the reconditioned units at PC World's site but have taken out the £9.99 pcm cover in case problems have not been ironed out.
Insides of these desktops incorporate components used by Dell etc so not expecting many issues.
I did however trade out the 19" monitor for the Xerox glass fronted model and got £100 off the price.
Total was £939 for top spec PC.
