Fraud and identity theft are growing like crazy for several reasons, but the main reason..it's just so easy to do it these days. People don't always heed the advice to cover their butts and protect themselves. I hope that sending this guy to the clink will send a message to other current or potential scam artists that this could happen to you, and most likely will at some point. If they let this guy off easy, career criminals will know the risk is worth taking, but if he spends the better part of his lift in jail, they may rethink everything. One can only hope.
