Phishers Hit Twitter

Phishers Hit Twitter

There are reports that phishers attempted to hit micro blog Twitter over the weekend — and there are reports of them hitting Facebook too.

Phishing gets everywhere, and over the weekend it hit users of the micro blogging service, Twitter. A number of users received direct messages saying "hey! check out this funny blog about you…", according to the Guardian. Clicking on the link took people to an outside site that copied the Twitter front page.

The service claims to have dealt with the problem by reporting the offending domain, but claims to have found a fake page for Facebook phishing, too.

Twitter reset passwords for those who logged into the fake site.
