Single PowerPoint Fix For Patch Tuesday

Microsoft has announced just one update for Patch Tuesday, but it's a vital one, fixing a hole in PowerPoint.
Remarkably, Microsoft has said it’s only offering one fix next week on Patch Tuesday, but it’s an important one, designed to fix a security hole in PowerPoint, which carries a critical rating.
Microsoft has known about the problem, which involves "limited and targeted attacks that attempt to use this vulnerability," since last month, but didn’t offer a fix then. The attacks urge users to download, then open, PowerPoint documents that are infected with malware, according to The Register.
Last month, too, McAfee reported "multiple attacks in the field using the PowerPoint exploit."
This isn’t the first time Microsoft has offered just one update on Patch Tuesday; it did the same back in January.
