Sony Recalls 69,000 AC Adapters
Sony recalled 69,000 of its AC Adapters for its Vaio desktops and docking stations due to possible shock hazards.
Sometimes things blow up—and this time that thing might [key word being might] be a Sony AC adapter for its Vaio all-in-one desktops and docking stations. Sony announced today that it recently discovered the insulation for the AC adapters—specifically adapters for the VGC-LT and VGC-JS2 series desktops and VGP-PRBX1 and VGP-PRFE1 docking stations—could possibly pose an electrical shock hazard for users.
The electronics giant recalled 69,000 of those AC adapters and, even though there have been no injuries reported, Sony is offering free replacements. Most companies [generally] don’t like to see its customers in pain. Take a look at this official report for more details.
