The AquaPoint Mouse Likes Water

New mouse from industrial computer company IKEY is rated to be impervious to splashing water and corrosive liquids.

Ever had a need for an optical waterproof mouse? While surfing in the bathtub might not be your thing, the new IKEY AquaPoint mouse may find some usefulness in the industrial sector.

The AquaPoint, which will be available soon on industrial computer manufacturer IKEY’s website, is constructed with a sealed, silicone overlay and rugged, polycarbonate frame. It has been designated as meeting NEMA 4X industrial specifications, which means it is impervious to splashing/hose-directed water as well as corrosive liquids.

Major features of the AquaPoint, IKEY said, include optical technology which allows the mouse to operate on any surface including stainless steel, smooth-surface buttons, a long operating life and ergonomic design. It is available with either USB or PS/2 cables.
