Three Critical Fixes For Patch Tuesday

It's almost time for Microsoft's Patch Tuesday, and the company has announced seven fixes, but three of them are termed "critical."

Microsoft has announced a relatively small group of patches for release in its Patch Tuesday, but three of them are deem “critical.” The fixes will corrected Internet Explorer problems in Windows 2000, XP, Vista, and with Windows Server 2003.

One of the critical fixes applies to IE 5.1 to 7, and affects all the operating systems. Another addresses issues with DirectX, and the third critical update focuses on the interaction between Windows components and Bluetooth.

The “important” patch fixes a problem in Windows Internet Names Service and will cure the threat of hacking in it.

In addition to the seven patches, Microsoft is issuing an update of its Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool.
