Toshiba Announces Satellite P35 Series
Toshiba today introduced the Satellite P35-S611 notebook, designed as a desktop replacement that delivers a powerful multimedia experience for $1,799.
The latest edition to the Satellite P35 line features TruBrite technology for extreme brightness and crisp images viewable from across the room. The notebook features a 17-inch diagonal widescreen, creating an ideal display for viewing movies or playing video games. The Satellite P35-S611 also includes new anti-glare coating to enhance viewing angles.
The Satellite P35-S611 combines a Mobile Intel Pentium 4 processor with a 533 MHz front side bus, integrated wireless LAN and an ATI MOBILITY RADEON 9000 IGP graphics chipset. The fast processor is able to handle sophisticated multimedia applications, while Harmon Kardon speakers and SRS TruSurround XT technology create a rich audio experience.
Other highlights include a 100GB hard disk drive for storing digital music, photos and video; DVD SuperMulti drive that supports both DVD +/- formats; bridge media adaptor with shared slots (Secure Digital, Memory Stick, Memory Stick Pro, SmartMedia, Multi Media Card, xD-Picture) for reading and transferring files; 512 MB memory and an instant-on control function to play a CD or DVD without powering up the system.
