ViewSonic Announces Two New LCD Monitors

ViewSonic Corp. today added two slim bezel displays to its business LCD line-up.  The attractive design and exceptional front-of-screen performance of the 15-inch VX510 and 17-inch VX715will appeal to any small and home office, corporate, education or government user.

Featuring an elevated neck that provides a floating effect, saves space on the desktop and allows a high, comfortable viewing position, these new displays are framed by a black bezel and stylish silver accents to add style to even the most basic office environment.

With native 1280×1024 resolution, 450:1 contrast ratio and 300 nits of brightness, the VX715 extends the desktop experience with ClearMotiv technology for displaying broadcast-quality video and compatibility with HD 720p resolution. OptiSync dual input technology on the VX715 supports both digital (DVI) and analog (VGA) signals to expand connectivity options.

The VX510 provides 250 nits of brightness, a 450:1 contrast ratio and a native resolution of 1024×768.

“Analysts predict that by 2005, 50 percent of enterprise desktop PC purchases will include either 15-inch or 17-inch LCD monitors,” said Young Bae , senior product manager, LCD monitors, ViewSonic. “With such rapid growth comes changing user needs—ViewSonic’s VX models meet these needs and deliver more room on the desktop, superior front-of-screen performance, and an attractive, stylish design.”

Compliant with the strictest safety and environmental standards—including TCO—the VX510 and VX715 will be available through authorized ViewSonic resellers, distributors and mail order for estimated street prices of $425 and $525, respectively.

Both displays are backed by a three-year limited warranty on parts, labor and backlight, and are eligible for ViewSonic’s optional Express Exchange program, which guarantees a replacement monitor within 48 hours where service is available. ViewSonic offers 24-hour, toll-free technical support, seven days a week, excluding major U.S. holidays.
