VoodooPC Launches the IDOL Mini PC

Step aside Mac mini, there is a new player in town, the VoodooPC IDOL mini PC which starts at $899.

VoodooPC has launched their own version of the mini PC. While its form factor looks similar to the Apple Mac mini, it is unmistakably a VoodooPC with its blood red paid and Voodoo graphics. Priced from $899, the VoodooPC IDOL features an Intel Pentium M notebook processor (to keep the system silent), a 7200 RPM Hitachi Hard drive, an Ethernet connection (what computer doesn’t have one?), DVI connection and a slot-loading DVD player.

VoodooPC says that consumers can decide on which operating system they want, although the IDOL was not listed on the company’s website at the time of this release, so we are unsure of whether you can get the IDOL with MCE 2005 installed, but we suspect you can. The company is branding the IDOL as being ideal as a second PC rather than a primary system.
