Windows XP SP3 Due This Month

The third and final service pack for Windows XP will arrive this month according to reports.

It’s not official yet, but according to information gleaned by Neowin, the third and final service pack for Windows XP will be with users this month.  The upgrade will reach volume license holders and manufacturers on April 21, with other receiving it by update or Download Center a week later. Those who haven’t downloaded it by June 10 willbe forced to do so by automatic update.   It’s been four years since SP2 appeared, following the introduction of Windows XP in 2001. It’s since been replaced by Vista, but XP fanshave been vocal enough that Microsoft has been forced to extend support for the OS.   In a statement, Microsoft said,   "We expect Windows XPSP3 to be available in 1H 2008, provided it meets our quality bar for release."
