LG Optimus 3D Max hands-on video

Make sure to check out our full LG Optimus 3D Max review.

In our initial impressions of the LG Optimus 3D Max, Nick wondered whether 3D would ever take off on phones, but complimented LG’s attempt to load up the Optimus 3D Max with an array of 3D games. I spent some time with the device today at the CTIA 2012 trade show in New Orleans and things haven’t changed much. The Optimus 3D Max, the sequel to the LG Thrill 4G here in the US, is a solid phone, but the glasses-free 3D feature still feels more like a gimmick than an integral part of the phone. Oddly, it also runs on Android 2.3, which is quite outdated. LG has gone out of its way to give the interface a strange neon look, but it can’t hide the old UI. Still, the screen is an improvement over the Thrill. We don’t know when or if the Optimus 3D Max is coming to the US, but we’ll keep you posted.
