I received this computer yesterday, easy hookup. I fired up this machine and loaded my Microsoft Flight Simulator X I maxed out all the settings within the game. This machine has operated flawlessly. For the price and the power, you cannot beat this computer. Very Happy

I’m very impressed by this machine. My first game to load was Crysis and it runs very smooth with all the setting on very high at 4x anti-aliasing and at 1280×1024 resolutions.

The fastest system I’ve got so far. I had other gateway system with Intel quad core which did not achieve what I was looking for.

I’ve tried to install World of Warcraft 5 times so far and it fails at the end. I then tried to do a system restore and that failed after waiting over an hour… what’s wrong with this thing?

I got this computer this weekend and let me tell you this thing is a beast. I went and got Crysis and it runs that with everything on high. Also all other games I have installed have worked great. Those include World of Warcraft, Call of Duty 4, and half life 2/portal/Team fortress 2.

I setup the computer with an HD cable for my HD monitor and installed World of Warcraft and the Burning Crusade is record time. I set all the graphic settings on high and set my sound to surround 5.1. Incredible. No lag and the best graphics ever. Ron.

I love this machine! I spent countless hours agonizing over building my own rig or purchasing an off the shelf model. Of course, one must decide what type of gamer they are (extreme vs. enthusiast).

I opted for the Gateway FX7020 with an AMD 64 Phenom Quad processor, along with the Nvidia 8800GT graphics card.

For the gaming enthusiast, it is MORE than enough to handle games like F.E.A.R and Halflife2. It is whisper quiet and handles like a Ferrari.

    Two thumbs up. Way up!

This computer is awesome! Though if you’re an extremely hardcore gamer looking for the best for the buck, the Fx7024 is a better choice. However if you’re a casual/hardcore mix looking for the best for the buck, and like a little extra on the side (cough cough, online and live TV with windows media center + more), then this is the computer for you. I installed WoW, Burning Crusade, Gta San Andreas, in record time. I also pumped up the settings to high, and they ran smooth.

Running the FX7020 with a Westinghouse 24-inch monitor and it looks and works great. Had to figure out how to hook up the monitor. The standard VGA plug is covered with crime tape, so don’t use it. Check the accessories box for the adaptor and plug it into the lower digital output.

I saw the note below on WOW: with Windows Vista, you have to run WOW through Administrator mode. Right click on the WOW icon and set it to Administrator. Should have no problems after that, except, if you need WOW patches, get ready to wait for awhile. The WOW site is slow.

It’s so quiet; you can’t tell if it’s crunching anything. That can be good or bad- no way to tell except for an hourglass or an ear to the HD whether the thing is working on something.

Haven’t messed with all the bells and whistles yet, but the FX7020 is a good box, especially for about a grand.
