The Nikon D3000 subsumes a 10.2-megapixel, APS-C (23.6 x 15.8 mm) CCD image sensor, a fixed 3-inch LCD screen with 230k-dot resolution, and EyeFi wireless functionality into its compact body. For storage, the D3000 integrates a media slot, capable of receiving external microSD/SDHC media. For power supply, this device provides a EN-EL9a rechargeable lithium-ion battery, good for about 500 shots per charge. Additional features include a built-in orientation sensor, 6 preset autofocus modes, and USB 2.0 connectivity.
