Fossil Fighters: Frontier combines Mario Kart, Pokemon, and puzzle dynamics to create a well-rounded dinosaur experience. As shown in the upcoming title’s E3 announcement, the game — a U.S. version of Japan’s Fossil Fighters: Infinite Gear — will allow you to dig up Vivosaur bones in an effort to reconstruct dinosaur-like creatures for tournament fighting. Oh, you can also race, combine various fossil components, and engage in both local and online six-player battles. The debut gameplay trailer shows the upcoming title’s varying gameplay, which for better or worse, still resembles a blatant Pokemon ripoff. Nonetheless, the background theme song is worth the watch alone.
Fossil Fighters is scheduled for release on the Nintendo 3DS, likely sometime in 2015.
