Dishonored is one of the more intriguing gaming options that we’re sure to see more of when E3 officially kicks off next week. With a style that’s feels like a mash-up of Bioshock, Mirror’s Edge, and Assassin’s Creed, the latest from Bethesda Softworks has a lot of interesting parts in the mix.
The steampunk world of Dishonored finds Corvo, a supernatural assassin, hell-bent on revenge. Once the trusted bodyguard of the beloved Empress, Corvo is framed for her murder, sending him underground from whence he returns as an infamous assassin only known by a disturbing mask that he wears. Told in a first-person view, Dishonored brings murder to the forefront, making it very up close and personal, bloodily so.
In April, we visited with Bethesda and got to see the game in action. Take a look at our preview if you missed it.
The latest trailer also introduces a release date of October 9 for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC.
