E3 2012: Elder Scrolls Online trailer

Check out our review of The Elder Scrolls Online.

Elder Scrolls Online was announced last month with a very brief teaser trailer that showed off little more than the new logo: a daisy chain of dragons eating each other. The online MMO version of Bethesda’s popular Elder Scrolls series is being made by ZeniMax Online Studios, which features members who have previously worked on popular MMOs like Everquest II and Free Realms.

ZeniMax and Bethesda have shown off a little bit of Elder Scrolls Online at E3, but they’ve left more questions than answers, and the above trailer doesn’t break from that routine. We do get a few cinematic shots of various individuals from different races and roles, though.

We had a chance to see a demo of Elder Scrolls Online, but wasn’t terribly inspiring. Still, we’re hopeful that ZeniMax can pull it off. No word on when Elder Scrolls Online will be released.
