EverQuest II has been up and running since 2004 and is one of the longest running MMORPGs available for play today. But Sony Online Entertainment hasn’t stopped attempting to innovate with the game.
The most recent addition is SOEmote. SOEmote allows players to talk in the game via voice recognition software that can also be used to change the voice to fit the character of choice. It also uses webcams to track players’ faces, allowing them to move their heads and make facial expressions that their EverQuest characters will mimic in game.
SOEmote doesn’t have a release date at the moment.
