Microsoft and Ubisoft had some excitement for Sam Fisher fans this week as they debuted trailers for the newest Splinter Cell. They didn’t offer too much early plot insight, but in the trailer Fisher mentions the Fourth Echelon, which means that the Third has disappeared.
In a demo, a terrorist that Fisher hunts down threatens the release of a Blacklist that would wreak havoc throughout the world. So far, we can tell that like Conviction, marking and executing enemies will return, and Fisher has to traverse various obstacles on his way toward his objective.
Like many Xbox related games, Kinect integration will be included but we only saw voice commands. We’ll see over the coming months how deep the Kinect controls will go.
Splinter Cell: Blacklist doesn’t have a release date yet but it will be available for Xbox 360, PC, and Playstation 3.
