No, we’re not entirely sure how you pronounce the first word but the latter two should be familiar to gaming fans. Theatrhythm Final Fantasy (TFF) is a Final Fantasy game of sorts being developed by indieszero and published by Square Enix exclusively for the Nintendo 3DS.
Like many Final Fantasy games, TFF is supposed to come with overworlds and dungeons to explore. However, unlike other games in the series, the combat is time-based and centered around a rhythm movement. Players select a famous Final Fantasy character and then select a previous FF game to determine what music is played during battles. Players are supposed to be able to unlock characters, music, and movie scenes from previous Final Fantasy titles.
TFF has been out in Japan since February but it will be making its North American and European debuts next month on July 3 and 6, respectively.
