Playdead, the independent game developer based in Denmark, knows how to do eerie and minimalist really well. Their first release, Limbo, is a 2D sidescroller that took moody visual cues from film noir and German Expressionism. Their follow-up is Inside, another 2D puzzle-platform game that looks both impressive and creepy. Other than a few splashes of color, Inside looks a lot like Limbo, but why mess with a good thing.
Inside will be released for Xbox One in the first half of 2015, then will migrate to other consoles later in the year.
