Splatoon offers a unique spin on the multiplayer shooter genre. Instead of pumping opponents full of lead, you control a half-human half-squid hybrid whose mission is to splatter every possible surface with a designated paint color. The team that covers the most surface area of a map with their paint color wins. In order to move around the arena faster or to perform sneak attacks, players can also swim in pools and paths made by their paint. By the end of a match, the map looks like a crazy Jackson Pollock painting.
Splatoon will be released for the Wii U in 2015.
