The Kindle has a much longer battery life, better display that wont hurt your eyes. The Kindle is also lighter, smaller, has plenty of room to hold thousands of books, and comes with 3G connection. In contrast the iPad is bulky, heavier, has a screen that could hurt the eyes if used for too long, and the Wi-Fi version (making two versions is not a good idea in my opinion) has a limited locations in which it can be used. The iPad’s pros are the ability to connect to the internet, has a much larger memory capacity, and a backlight.

Personally, I would go with the kindle for two major reasons. Longer battery life and a book collection online (which you can access anywhere). The kindle also doesn’t hurt your eyes (I have one I know), and can hold plenty of books.

my full review is has side by side specs and easy to read:

http://lettergram.org/?p=84
