A New Tron: Legacy Trailer Debuts

With ComicCon currently underway, it is no surprise that Tron: Legacy would have a presence at the event. Tron may not technically have been a comic book movie, but it definitely leans towards the same demographics and fan base and makes a natural fit with the ComicCon scene. With that in mind, Disney has released a new trailer for the upcoming movie at the San Diego event.

Tron: Legacy comes 28 years after the original Tron, setting a Hollywood record for the longest gap between movie and sequel. The story revolves around Sam Flynn (Garrett Hedlund), son of Kevin Flynn (Jeff Bridges), the hero from the original. 20 years after Kevin’s sudden disappearance, Sam receives a message from his father to come to the abandoned Flynn’s Arcade, where Sam is then pulled into the digital world that his father visited in the past. Sam discovers that his father has been trapped, and together they must fight their way out of the construct.

Tron: Legacy was filmed in 3D using and will be presented in Digital 3D, IMAX 3D, and RealD 3D when it debuts on December 17.

When it comes to the Super Bowl, TV and movie studios don't have to worry about making innovative commercials. Fans just want to see some great trailers for upcoming shows and films. This year's Super Bowl was a little light in that department, as a handful of major studios didn't bother to buy ad time. But the studios who reserved spots for the Big Game came away with some of the buzziest moments of the night.

Can Nicolas Cage’s new film Longlegs be the scariest movie of 2024?

It's only February, but 2024 already feels like it needs a good horror movie to shake things up. Last year, audiences were spoiled with the January delights of M3GAN and Infinity Pool and the promise of yet another installment in the Scream franchise. So far this year, all we've gotten is a tepid Mean Girls musical remake, another Jason Statham action movie, and Argylle, which is only scary in how bad it is. (Seriously, don't see it.)

Leave it to film distributor Neon and beloved weirdo actor Nicolas Cage (Dream Scenario) to save the day. Over the past few weeks, the former has released a slow trickle of new info about the 2024 movie, starting with a series of intriguing posters that hint at the movie's American Gothic approach to horror.
