Wow, None of those reasons are actually legit reasons for your statement.
You obviously like Apple better, thats no reason to talk trash about Microsoft and call it unhip.

Don't forget who's responsible for the XboX live that millions of teens play.

your stupid as hell, the zune is WAY better than the ipod. ive had almost every version of ipod theyve ever made, and once i finally got a zune, i will never look back. IPOD SUCKS!!!!!!!!! zune is a million times better. its more personalized, it works better, the screens better, its faster, it never freezes, it charges faster, it holds a charge longer…. oh god, i could go on for hours. ZUNE IS AMAZING, IPOD SUCKS, END OF STORY.

Pandemik, what he said for the most part aren't opinions. Outside of the Xbox venture, their ventures outside of their Windows/Office/Server environment have been nothing but misses. They really don't have much of a clue about appealing to the consumers. They're like the out of touch parent who tries to be hip to their child's knowledge of current mainstream pop culture.

The Kin BOMBED after being on the market for only 48 days and only selling 500 units, despite the fact that it had a good amount of advertising behind it. The Xbox project resulted in billions of dollars lost and while they have recently made a profit off of it, they're going spend tons of money on their broken take on motion controls, Kinect, which has their investors shaking their head. The Zune HD was a huge failure and the Zune marketshare around the time Microsoft discontinued all the Zunes on the market to make room for the Zune HD was at a whopping 1%. It has poor sales, it has no presence outside of the US and it has less features that the Ipod Touch. It's not holding up anything. It's a complete turkey and a waste of resources. You thinking it's a sexy beast is fine, but it sure doesn't help Microsoft profit from it or have any sort of presence in the PMP market (which is dying as we speak)

Bottom line is Microsoft come off as a "Me-too!" company at times and like to arrive at parties when practically everyone has already left and moved on.

Haha, and the zune isn't dead…Its service for Xbox could be holding it up.
None of anything that you said is a reason, it's an opinion without backing (except the two percent thing)
lastly, the zune is a sexy beast…ipod is just a beast ;P
