How to Reset Your iPhone or iPod Touch

apple-iphoneSometimes the simplest solutions to problems are the hardest to remember or find. If you have an iPhone or an iPod Touch and it has frozen up or seems locked on an app or a screen, try holding the home button for up to six seconds. This usually brings you back to the “home” screen to you can continue on.

Now, if that doesn’t work, don’t worry. Here is how you reset your iPhone or iPod Touch. Put the sledgehammer down, take a deep breath and simply hold the sleep/wake button and the home button and the same time. Press and hold until the Apple logo appears. If this is the first time you have seen the apple logo, it is probably time you reset your Touch/iPhone – it has been a while

Yamaha Tenori-on Orange Gets More Affordable

A couple years ago, Yamaha turned heads with its Tenori-on, a new type of electronic musical device intending to provide a new type of interface to interacting with electronic instruments…and anything else those instruments can control, including things like computers and lights. The Tenori-on has proven a hit with musicians and performance artists who favor the device’s unique interface…however, it’s high price tag hasn’t made it many friends in the consumer marketplace. To that end, Yamaha has just announced the Tenori-on Orange (or TNR-O), eliminating back panel LEDs and replacing the expensive magnesium case with more-affordable plastic.

Vizit PhotoFrame Promises Two Interaction and Wireless Connectivity

Isabella Products has been promising its Vizit photoframe for almost a year, and last we heard was due to land at retailers in “fall 2009.” Now Isabella has pushed the date back to “early 2010,” but it wants folks to know its touchscreen-enabled photoframe that’s supposed to offer fully interactive two-way connectivity is on the way…and the wireless connectivity will be provided by AT&T.

Marvell and E Ink Team Up on Next-Generation eReaders

Chipmaker Marvell and paper-like display maker E Ink have announced a new platform for next-generation eReaders, rolling in Wi-Fi, 3G connectivity, Bluetooth, power management capabilities and support for E Ink displays into a single-chip solution. The companies hope the design will accelerate the already-burgeoning eReader market and make devices available at many price points, from super-fast and super-slim high-end readers to consumer devices that are affordable around the world.

The system is based on the Marvell Armada 166E application processor. E Ink and Marvell also teamed up with FirstPaper LLC to enable support for a range of display sizes and resolutions, including large-format eReaders.
