Apple Adds Array of Fox Shows to iTunes

Wide variety of Fox offerings now available for purchase and download from iTunes store include 24, The Shield and Firefly.

Fox and Apple today announced that a wide array of Fox programming was now available for purchase and download through the online iTunes Music Store. With these additions, iTunes now offers over 90 TV shows for $1.99 per episode.

As part of the new offerings, said the two companies, Fox will make available programming from the Fox Network, FX, Speed, Fuel TV and the 20th Century Fox Television library. Specific programs which will be downloadable to a computer or iPod include 24, Prison Break, The Shield, It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Stacked, Unan1mous, Black. White, 30 Days, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Firefly, Lost in Space, Pinks, Unique Whips and First Hand.

“As this partnership demonstrates, we’re committed to delivering our content to consumers in as many ways as possible,” said Peter Levinsohn, president, Fox Digital Media, in a statement. “Today, with some of the world’s premier television content, Fox is bringing unprecedented depth — in a single launch — to the iTunes Music Store.”

“We’re thrilled to offer such a wide range of hit programming from Fox Entertainment Group on iTunes,” added Eddy Cue, Apple’s vice president of iTunes. “Customers can now download smash hits including ’24,’ ‘Prison Break,’ and ‘The Shield’ from the world’s most popular online video store for viewing on their computer or iPod.”

  1. Ian Bell and Dan Gaul at 1:13pm 10th May 2006 I have never actually seen 24 before. I have heard its a great show, but didn't want to dive in halfway through a season. So I am going to try these out and start from the beginning.
