In an interview on eCommerceTimes, Apple's Chris bell explains what makes the iTunes service so successful.

eCommerceTimes has posted a great interview with Apple’s director of product marketing, Chris Bell.

“The labels told us that if we hit 1 million downloads in the first six months, they’d consider the experiment to be a success,” Apple director of product marketing Chris Bell told the E-Commerce Times. “When we came back to them after a week and said, ‘Okay, we’ve got your million,’ they were very surprised.”
