Apple iPod shuffle Set For Nov 3 Launch

Apple's newly revised, super-tiny 1 GB iPod shuffle music player is set to be available worldwide on November 3.

Although it was announced in September, Apple Computer is now set to roll out its redesigned, super-diminuative 1 GB iPod shuffle music player at Apple retail stores and authorized resellers this Friday, November 3. Weighing just half an ounce, measuring just 1.62 inches in length (and less than half a cubic inch in volume), sporting an integrated clip and an attractive $79 price tag, the shiny new aluminum shuffle might just be a holiday hit this year.

The new iPod shuffle offers 1 GB of flash storage capacity, up to 12 hours of battery life, and uses Aple’s “shuffle” feature to let music fans skip around a continuous mix of their favorite music selections. Users can listen to songs in order or on a random shuffle using a switch—like its predecessor, the iPod shuffle offers no display or menu system. Users load up the player using Apple’s iTunes jukebox software.
