Apple Pinks Up the iPod nano

Apple's line of 8 GB iPod nanos are now available in black, silver, green, blue...and pink.

These days, a portable media player is as much a fashions statement as a way of saying “I don’t want to talk to you, can’t you see I’m absorbed in my media?” But what to do when your favorite portablemedia player isn’t available in a color that complements your mood, outfits, or other accessories? Apple hopes to make that trying situation a bit easier for fans of its iPod nano line today by introducing a new color in its line of diminutive, video-capable portable media players: pink.

“Customers are going to love the gorgeous new pink iPod nano,” said Apple’s VP o of worldwide iPod marketing Greg Joswiak, in a statement. “The pink iPod nano is perfect for people who want a great new color this spring, or who are searching for a special Valentine’s Day gift.”

The new 8 GB pink nano shares its specs with its black, silver, green, amd blue predecessors, offering a 2-inch LCD display, video playback capability (including H.264 and MPEG-4), USB 2.0 connectivity, and up to five hours of video playback and 24 hours of audio playback on a single battery charge. The new color is available for now at $199. Apple continues to offer a 4 GB iPod nano for $149, but it’s only available in silver.

And my reaction will remain the same..so what?
  2. Ari at 6:38pm 22nd January 2008 Umm who cares. It's pink. Does it really deserve the front page of all of these sites?
