JBL Showcases New Portable Speakers

The JBL On Tour Plus, which includes a bracket for mounting a device like the Sony PSP, is geared towards on the go sound enjoyment.

JBL today introduced a Sony PlayStation Portable portable loud speaker system for on the go use. The new JBL On Tour Plus is priced at $129.95 and should be available now.

The black JBL On Tour Plus, said JBL, weighs less than a pound and while designed to connect to any portable device for sound, includes a special game-console bracket so users can easily attach devices such as the PSP to the top of the speaker system. The speakers, which are powered off of four AAA batteries or universal AC power, offer up six watts of power and two aluminum-domed transducers to produce a reportedly rich sound at any level.

“Consumers are looking for ways to get more value out of the multitude of portable electronics they’ve purchased in recent years,” said Fred Faulkner, JBL Multimedia’s vice president of sales and marketing, in a statement.
