Logitech FreePulse Headphones Go Wireless

Logitech's new FreePulse wireless headphones use Bluetooth 2.0 EDR to let you roam up to 33 feet from your iPod or portable music player.

Accessory and peripheral maker Logitech has officially unveiled its FreePulse wireless headphones for iPods and other portable media players, the company’s second-generation cordless headphones.

“We believe wireless headphones for portable music players will become a standard—and our slimmed-down, second-generation FreePulse Wireless headphones deliver great leaps in style, comfort, durability, and performance,” said Jef Holove, Logitech’s VP of product marketing for audio. “No more untangling knotted earbuds, nor getting snagged on gym equipment. The wireless technology allows people to listen to their music while their iPod or MP3 player is safely tucked away in a pocket, bag or purse.”

The FreePulse headphones feature a behind-the-head design, with a flexible carbon steel headband. Each can featuring soft-touch comfort earpiece and a 30 mm neodymium driver which delivers high quality audio; the right-side earpiece offers a bass boost control which enhances low-end response in the headphones to you can fully groove out even during exercise or other strenuous activity.

The FreePulse headphones delivery wireless functionality using Bluetooth 2.0 Enhanced Data Rate (EDR) technology, enabling users to roam up to 33 feet from their iPod or other music player. The headphones charge via an included charging cable, and have a play time of more than six hours on a full battery charge. The FreePulse’s Bluetooth adapter features a 3.5 mm plug which can be adjusted four different directions to accommodate a wide variety of personal media players. of course, they can also be used with any other 3.5mm headphone jack, so the FreePulse headphones can be used with home stereos, PCs, and more.

Expect to see the FreePulse headphones in the U.S. and Europe starting in October, at a suggested U.S. price of $99.99
