One Voice Launches VoIP For Media Center OS
One Voice has launched the PC Industry's first VoIP based PC-to-Phone calling service integrated with Windows XP Media Center Edition.
The One Voice PC-to-Phone calling service included 500 Anytime Minutes per month for Calls throughout the United States and Canada for $14.95 per month. Additional minutes per month are billed at 4.9cents per minute. For more information, visit http://www.onev.com/mcc/phone.htm.
Subscribers can try this service FREE for one month, for up to 500 minutes, and may cancel the service at anytime. For a limited time, One Voice is also offering subscribers a bundle which includes the above monthly PC-to-Phone calling service plus One Voice’s MobileVoice(TM) service. MobileVoice is a voice recognition based service that works from ANY cell phone on ANY wireless service provider and includes: Voice-Dialing, Group Conference Calling, Reading and Sending E-mail and Voice-to-Text SMS Messaging, all powered by One Voice’s patented voice recognition technology.
Residing on One Voice’s newly launched MobileVoice Hosted Services Platform, located at the San Diego based AT&T Data Center facility, the PC-to-Phone calling service is built using industry standard Session Initiation Protocol (SIP), Microsoft’s Live Communication Server (LCS) technology, IBM xSeries servers and AT&T T1 Internet and PSTN connectivity.
“Imagine walking into your family room and calling your friends, family or even ordering a pizza through your Windows XP Media Center PC,” said Dean Weber, chairman and CEO of One Voice Technologies. “With our PC-to-Phone calling and MobileVoice services you can now access your E-mail, Instant Message and call people while at home or on-the-road! Our PC-to-Phone calling service plus MobileVoice bundle offer subscribers a complete, powerful communications package for just $14.95 per month. Our strategy is to offer this monthly service direct to consumers and through select PC manufacturers by having this feature available directly with their Media Center PCs. This is a great mechanism for PC manufacturers to share in a monthly recurring revenue stream while maximizing One Voice’s market penetration through PC manufacturer distribution.”
