Online Music Users Frustrated With DRM

An article at BBC News says that UK online music lovers are frustrated with the current digital rights management, looks like U.S. users are not alone.

“UK music lovers are getting frustrated with restrictions placed on digital music tracks once they buy them from online stores, says PC Pro magazine.

The magazine reported that people are also being turned off net music stores because of pricing and disappointing sound quality compared with CDs. ”

Education folks. I would say that 9/10 people I run into have no idea the limitations of the music they just downloaded. Did you just download a song from iTunes? Good luck using it outside of your PC or iPod…

  2. James at 8:50am 26th April 2005 I am reluctant to download online music because of compatibility issues with DRM and sound quality. I would prefer to just pay for the whole CD. And with new albums coming out on the Dual Format CD/DVD discs (DVD on one side, CD on the other) you get more bang for your buck, both video and music, plus they are compatible with 99% of the CD players out there.
