Samsung Debut’s Slim YH-920 HDD Player

Samsung claims the YH-920 Hard Disc Drive, offers more memory, more song storage, plus more music and user-friendly features than most other digital audio sport devices.

The YH-920 has been selected as an International CES Innovations 2004 Design and Engineering Showcase Awards winner and will be on display at the Samsung booth, #11027 in the Central Hall of the LasVegas Convention Center at CES 2004 from January 8th – 11th.

The YH-920 is an inventive combination of portable music player, including an FM Radio with MP3 encoder, and the ability to encode from line-in source material. It has a 30GB hard disc drive packed into a unit that is less than two inches. The unit features a customizable EQ and plays music in MP3, WMA, Audible and Ogg Vorbis formats. The docking cradle allows you to connect to line-out sources like speakers or stereo audio components. The versatile YH-920 is USB 2.0 compliant which means it is fully Windows compatible, so any music or personal mixes that are stored on a computer can be downloaded easily. The rechargeable Li-Ion battery is designed to last for ten hours or more and a set of earphones is included in the package.

“The YH-920 is the latest in Samsung’s expanded line of digital audio devices,” said Claude Frank, Director of Marketing, Digital Audio/Video Products, Samsung Electronics America. “With its superior storage capacity for music, long battery life and its extraordinary sound quality, the YH-920 offers the ability to enjoy your music collection with very few stops to recharge and reload.”

The Samsung YH-920 has an MSRP of $399.99 and will be available at consumer electronics establishments nationwide by March 2004.
