Sanyo Updates High-Def Xacti HD1a Camcorder

Sanyo's updated HD1A high-definition camcorder adds on-camera editing along wth widescreen and iPod-friendly capture modes.

Sanyo has updated its well-regarded Xacti HD1 high-definition camcorder to the Xacti HD1a: the new model features convenient in-camera video editing, as well as 16:9 widescreen and iPod-friendly 320 by 240 video modes. The HD1a can capture 720p HD video as well as 5.1 megapixel still images to standard SD and SDHC memory cards.

The Sanyo Xacti HDA1 still claims to be the world’s smallest and lightest HD camera, and can record as much as 21 minutes of 720p high-definition footage onto 1 GB SD or SDHC memory cards

  1. Hawood at 9:14pm 1st September 2006 I own an HD1 and am considering buying its successor, the HD1a. I love the design (very well-made), its portability, SD card recording format, and superb HD video quality.
