Research Firm 'Research and Markets' predicts that there will be nearly 70 million broadband enabled homes in the US by the year 2008.
In what could be considered a very optimistic prediction, Research and Markets is forecasting that household penetration for broadband will increase from 23.1% to 56.3% between 2004 and 2008.
The report credits new broadband centric services like VoIP audio and video products, IPTV television products, and household convergence between the computer and home theater.
