Skype Updates Software, Pushes Chat Service

Skype 2.5, now in beta, offers a number of new enhancements while Skypecasts allows for live, moderated discussions with up to 100 users at once.

VoIP provider Skype, an eBay company, today announced a new beta version of its latest software for placing telephone calls over the Internet. Also announced was Skypecasts, a new service which allows live, moderated discussions with large groups for free.
