Tivo Delivers Rocketboom

DVR company rolls out new broadband video content to its Series 2 DVR owners, this time in the form of a daily video blog.

Tivo yesterday began making more new downloadable content available to broadband subscribers who own a Series 2 DVR. The latest offering is the video blog Rocketboom.

Rocketboom, according to Tivo, is part of the Tivo Video Download Trial, a new service which the company looks to be testing for potential future uses. Other content, such as downloadable tech videos from Cnet and a martial arts movie, was made available in the last month or so.   1. Caden Christopher McCaw at 6:21pm 20th December 2005 So... it's like Countdown With Keith Olbermann (MSNBC), the Reader's Digest version. A couple years ago, Dish Network was putting promtional video (i.e. ADS!) on to customer's DVRs/PVRs and it *counted as used space* (not additional cache) and they got pis|sed! lol Hey, they *still* might be doing it today... who knows? I hope it isn't mandatory stuff TiVo's sending down the pike.
