VoSky Chatterbox Skype-certified

Actiontec Electronics offers up a VoIP speakerphone with a radius of 12 feet and digital signal processing to enhance conversations.

Actiontec Electronics, a maker of broadband related consumer products, yesterday announced a new plug-and-play USB speakerphone designed to work with Voice over Internet Protocol service Skype. The VoSky Chatterbox is available now for $29.95.

The VoSky Chatterbox, Actiontec said, works by plugging into a USB port on a PC with Internet broadband connectivity. The Chatterbox offers up a powerful speaker and microphone which can carry and pick up sound up to 12 feet away.

The Chatterbox is roughly the size of a computer mouse and designed as a full duplex speakerphone with adjustable volume and mute controls. Digital signal processing is built in to enhance the sound quality of the conversation and the speakerphone is Skype-certified.
