Just Dance 2014

We haven't had a chance to fully test this product yet, but we've assembled this helpful overview of relevant information on it.

Just Dance 2014 is Ubisoft’s fifth installment in the Just Dance series, available for current-gen consoles and announced as a launch title for the Playstation 4 and Xbox One. As in previous versions, players are scored on their dancing ability based on how well they can mimic on-screen dancers, with a brand new soundtrack of over fifty songs. Additional songs, such as Katy Perry’s smash hit “Roar,” will be available as DLC on most platforms.

2014 introduces many new play modes over Just Dance 4, such as Karaoke Mode on all platforms featuring microphones, where players sing as well as dance and are scored on both. The new On-Stage Mode allows for a player to have two back-up dancers while they take center stage, and the World Dance Floor Mode pits players against dancers from across the globe as they compete for leaderboard spots. Unique to the Wii U and the upcoming Xbox One is Party Master Mode, where one player, using the Wii U’s gamepad or a mobile device over Xbox SmartGlass, controls the music as another dances. Both the Xbox One and Playstation 4 versions will also feature the brand new Just Dance DJ Mode, where players will be able to scratch out new beats and transition between songs. The Xbox One version will include support for up to six players.
