Shadow of the Eternals

We haven't had a chance to fully test this product yet, but we've assembled this helpful overview of relevant information on it.

Shadow of the Eternals is an upcoming sequel (or at least spiritual successor) to Eternal Darkness: Sanity’s Requiem for the WiiU and Microsoft Windows platforms, by Eternal Darkness developer Precursor Games. Much like in Eternal Darkness, Shadow of the Eternals spans multiple time periods and puts players in the role of many different characters as the game progresses. Players will combat terrifying enemies, either with traditional weaponry or magick, explore a host of environments complete with characters to interact with, and watch the world around them melt into madness as their sanity bar is depleted.

The story opens in present-day Louisiana, where a grisly mass murder has taken place at a hospital. Detective Paul Becker arrives on the scene and meets the two sole survivors—one a businessman, the other a biker—neither of whom have any recollection of who they are, and yet feel an all-consuming need to kill one another. Through Becker’s interviews of these people, a larger plot unfolds—one that begins in early 17th century Hungary, in the castle of Elizabeth Bathory, notorious serial killer.

Shadow of the Eternals will be distributed via Steam and the WiiU eShop.
