This latest trailer from Visceral Games has enough explosions to make Michael Bay blush.
Visceral Games and EA are taking a different approach to the third installment of Army of Two. As we saw in a hands-on preview back in 2012, the game’s producers are aiming for more of a movie-like feel with Devil’s Cartel, and it shows in this trailer.
With the sound of explosions and gunfire stopping just long enough for some intermittent cheesy dialogue, it almost feels like you’re watching a trailer for the next Expendables movie if you close your eyes. Protagonists Alpha and Bravo might as well be named Stallone and Statham.
But hey, that doesn’t mean it won’t be fun. No matter how generic the characters might be, the game’s Frostbite 2 engine and and new Overkill mode will probably make shooting down drug lords a blast. Pun intended.
Devil’s Cartel hit’s stores on March 26th.
