‘Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag’ shows teaches us some “True History”

Ubisoft has always done a fantastic job of making Assassin’s Creed games at least vaguely historically accurate. Sure – nobody named Ezio actually killed off the House of Borgia, and a guy named Connor didn’t assassinate George Washington, but aside from the big plot elements the developers do their best to stay true to the history books.

AC4: Black Flag will be no different. According to this lastest trailer, the next installment of the AC series will give players a chance to experience “true” stories from the golden age of piracy, and learn the history behind famous captains like Charles Vane, Calico Jack, and the infamous Blackbeard. There’s no telling how accurate these stories will be, but hey, they sure sound fun.

AC4: Black Flag is set to hit stores on October 29th.
