Despite suffering a few drawbacks that pushed the game’s release date back, this new trailer signals that BioShock Infinite is now nearing completion. Early talks with Irrational Games, suggested that it was being pushed back so that developers could make it bigger, more polished, and ensure that Infinite is as memorable as the original BioShock. They say good things come to those who wait, and after seeing this trailer it’s hard to think that this game will be anything short of amazing. It might be hard to believe at certain points, but the entire trailer is composed of in-game footage.
Although the game is set in the floating city of Columbia several decades before Andrew Ryan laid the foundations of Rapture, there are several glimpses at connections between the two. How the two locations are connected remains a mystery that likely won’t be solved until the game is out.
BioShock Infinite is set to be released on February 26th, 2013.
