The original Borderlands was huge hit for Gearbox when it came out in 2009. Since then several popular DLC packs have come that added to the experience.
The company is coming out with a sequel that will be out this coming September and is supposed to clean-up some of the problem that the original had. As an example, the A.I. in Borderlands 2 is supposed to have been upgraded to force players to use more strategic maneuvering in both the single player and co-op modes of the game.
Some other changes of note include more varied environments from the desert of the original to frozen tundras among others. The players will also take on four new characters in Salvador, Axton, Maya and Zero.
Borderlands 2 will be out officially on September 18 for PC, Xbox 360 and Playstation 3.
