The Call of Duty juggernaut continues to roll, and today the fourth and final planned DLC for Call of Duty: Black Ops II has been released. Sporting the title Apocalypse, the DLC contains four maps and a new zombie mode:
Dig: Fans of Treyarch’s World at War, the last Call of Duty game to feature a World War II setting, may recognize this map as “Courtyard.” The re-skinned map was a fan favorite, and offers a central location surrounded by multiple pathways.
Frost: An iced over European city is split into two sides by a canal. A bridge will offer a choke point, but the multi-tiered combat means it’s not going to be quite that easy.
Pod: Set in the ruins of a forward-thinking society from the 70s, Pod is set among the ruins of a community built using modular living pods. Those pods now offer multi-tiered combat on top of the structures, and interiors to run through.
Takeoff: A remote and isolated launch site in the Pacific Ocean offers a close quarter battlefield with multiple buildings – and a shuttle that launches during the match.
Origins: Set in the trenches of Europe during World War I, “Origins” brings back the original zombie heroes – Tank, Nikolai, Takeo, and Richtofen – as they try to survive zombies and giant, steampunk inspired robots.
Apocalypse is available on Xbox 360 now, and the PC and PS3 releases will follow shortly. The DLC pack alone will cost $14.99, but it is also the final piece of the Season Pass.
